Florence, Italy: Summer 1976

In the summer of 1976, we took a leisurely vacation through Venice and Florence, and then drove across Italy, along the French coastline, through the tiny village of Eze, and then up to Paris. Most of the pictures were of my wife and myself, which I won't bore you with; there are some photos from Paris in another section of this site. The pictures here were all shot from the window of our hotel room in Florence ... but I assure you that we really did walk from one end of the city to the other, in order to see the cathedral, the statue of David, and all the other sights. I didn't spot Hannibal Lecter anywhere in the city, but perhaps that's just as well ...
